Project Management Professional Exam Prep Course

1. Subject

PMP Exam Prep Training/Consultation participation  in an open classroom. (Minimum group size is 3 persons), and individual consultation in person/ via internet. See section 3 for details.

2.Goals and expectations

Transfer of knowledge based on the Project Management Institute’s Guide to the PMBOK 6th Edition and other best practice regarding the concepts, processes, tools & techniques, inputs and outputs of project management. Help the participants to prepare for the exam, shorten self-conducted study time.

Some other general goals:

  • Balance theory and practice, use sample questions, mock exams
  • Give feedback about preparedness, identify weak points to develop
  • Give opportunity to consult

3.Framework

Location for the training occasions: Office of Holmen Ltd. in Budapest (1063 Budapest, Szív utca 20., floor 1., door 1.), / online (Skype/Zoom) if agreed, in case of consultation.

Exam prep materials have to be purchased directly by the participants or by their company.

PMP Exam Prep. description

1. PMP Exam Prep Training (classroom) + 3 x 2 hours consultation

After a short overview of the topics by the trainer’s interactive presentation, the focus is on answering questions of the participants, group discussion, and practicing with difficult potential exam questions.

Precondition: pm basics training attendance (PMBOK based training, performed in the previous 5 years) and participants undertake weekly preparation from the PMBOK Guide (in most cases 3-4 chapters for each day) and from supplementary materials, including doing practice tests.

Duration: 4 training days + 3×2 hours, altogether, 35 contact hours.
Suggested timing: 9:00 -17:00 including 4×10 min. breaks, plus 1 hour long lunch break each day.

The next PMP Exam Prep Training is expected to be from 9th-12th March, 2020.

 

2.Additional one-to-one consultation (can be online, based on agreement with the participant)

Flexible consultations with one participant, as needed and agreed. The focus is on answering questions of the participant, discussion for better understanding and practicing with difficult potential exam questions.
Suggested duration: 2 (contact) hours/occasion.

One-to-one consultations can be initiated any time.

Training language: English. (In case of hungarian participants only, upon agreement, explanations, discussions can be made in Hungarian.)

  • Project integration management: processes, inputs & outputs, tools & techniques
  • Project scope management: processes, inputs & outputs, tools & techniques
  • Project schedule management: processes, inputs & outputs, tools & techniques
  • Project cost management: processes, inputs & outputs, tools & techniques
  • Project quality management: processes, inputs & outputs, tools & techniques
  • Project resource management: processes, inputs & outputs, tools & techniques
  • Project communications management: processes, inputs & outputs, tools & techniques
  • Project risk management: processes, inputs & outputs, tools & techniques
  • Project procurement management: processes, inputs & outputs, tools & techniques
  • Project stakeholder management: processes, inputs & outputs, tools & techniques
  • Typical exam sample questions, practicing
  • Discussion about the preparedness, tips for the rest of the self-study, and practicing with exam prep tests

Thorough preliminary preparation for the training by reading the PMBOK Guide 6th Ed. is highly recommended, however not compulsory. Skipping it can slow the preparation and the usage of the training time won’t be optimal.

5.Training fee

PMP Exam Prep Training (classroom) + 3×2 hours personal consultation: HUF 240 000 (+VAT)/participant
Additional one-to-one consultation: HUF 12 000 (+VAT)/hour
10% reduction is given to companies delegating minimum 3 participants to a specific event.
10% reduction for PMI members

The fees above do not include cost of training materials except that of the the training handout.
The above fees do not include any travelling and accommodation cost either.

Payments should be made in advance, based on registration and pro forma invoice.
